Incorporating barefoot movement and wearing minimalistic footwear helps muscle engagement, structural awareness and can inhibit pain and injury. The more supportive the shoe, the worse it is for the body. In movement, there is no bad mechanics or improper form, there is only unprepared muscle tissue or a lack of load capacity on said tissue. Train as many planes and angles as possible and you’ll see your strength increase and your injury potential decrease.
