Lack of sleep, restless sleep or sleeping against nature’s circadian rhythms can make you fat.
How?
When your sleep is regularly poor, your body is in an energy deficient so your body will naturally increase your blood sugar in order to supply some sort of energy on the following day. These small releases of blood sugar will happen all day.
Blood sugar elevations are the first marker for fat production.
Its simple, if your blood sugar is high, you’re more likely to gain fat or have trouble losing fat. And vise versa.
Take your sleep very seriously as it is the king of all things health. My recommendation is to work towards a sleeping pattern of 10pm-6am as often as possible.
